After you upload your image, our system automatically checks whether the resolution is sufficient for the selected product and size. You’ll see the result directly in the product designer above your image.
The technical image quality is evaluated based on the available pixels and shown using a color indicator:
- Red = Poor quality / The resolution is too low for the selected size
- Yellow = Good quality / The resolution is acceptable but may appear slightly soft or pixelated in print
- Green = Perfect quality / The resolution is ideal for the selected size
Only the technical resolution (pixel count) is evaluated - not the image content itself.
Improve resolution with AI: If the resolution of your original file isn’t ideal, you can often improve it using our new AI feature “Optimize resolution.” Here AI enhances the image resolution so that larger sizes can still achieve beautiful print results.
