There are two main reasons for pixelated images:
Insufficient resolution: the technical resolution of your image file in pixels/dpi is not sufficient for the desired print format. This leads to insufficient fine resolution, which becomes more noticeable with larger prints. To avoid this, we have included an image suitability check in our product designer that shows you the image quality: red for "poor quality", green for "very good quality" and "perfect quality". Please note that the image suitability check cannot detect whether an image is blurred.
Blurred image: Movements during recording (e.g. wind or moving people) can lead to blurred images. This is often not noticeable on small screens but becomes visible on larger prints. Check your images on a tablet, laptop or PC and zoom in. If the motif looks blurred, it will also be blurred in print.
You can find instructions for calculating the appropriate resolution here.
